Jennifer Berdahl is a Professor at the University of British Columbia. She was raised in the U.S. and Germany, surrounded by historians and sociologists in her father’s field of study. Professor Berdahl has PhD in social psychology from the University of Illinois and was on the faculties of the University of California Berkeley and the University of Toronto prior to UBC. Professor Berdahl has studied power and social identities in groups and organizations, with focus on sexual harassment. She has consulted with a wide variety of organizations, has been an expert witness on discrimination cases in the U.S. and Canada, and frequently speaks to professional audiences, the government, and the media about her work.
