Abstract

Day 2 Workshop on “Sport and Organizational Studies: Exploring Synergy”

The objective of this work shop is to investigate how studying various organizational phenomena within sport can contribute to our understanding of organizations. When one reviews the landscape of organizational studies, one sees a number of issues which might be effectively studied within sport: i.e., concurrent competition and collaboration; diversity; corporate/organizational reputation; organizational identification; leadership; high-performance teams; franchising. The work shop will be organized around a number of sessions each of which will address one of the above issues
