Abstract
Emotional labor is when front-line employees regulate their emotional expressions and feelings in order to perform their work role effectively. I’ll review my prior work in this area, then describe new qualitative and quantitative research merging organizational identification with emotional labor to explain the unique work experience of Penn State University fundraisers during the Sandusky scandal.
