The Likert Paper Award

Congratulations to the 2023 Likert Paper Award winner, Izzy Gainsburg!

The award will open again in Fall 2024.

Every two years since 1997-1998, ICOS has hosted a competition for the Likert Dissertation Paper Award. This award is given to the author of a paper based on a Michigan dissertation that makes the most significant contribution to organizational studies. The Likert Dissertation Award is a gift of the Foundation for Research on Human Behavior, a foundation created by the late Rensis Likert. The gift is intended to honor and encourage the scholarly publication of the dissertation research of recent University of Michigan PhDs in organizational studies.

Eligibility:

To be eligible, an entrant must have received their PhD at Michigan by September 1, 2022, and have participated in an ICOS dissertation poster session. The deadline for the competition will be Friday, October 21st, 2022. The paper can be published or unpublished. It can be of any length. The one requirement is that the paper be a direct product of the dissertation. To enter, submit your paper via email to Stephanie Collier (stcollie@umich.edu) by Friday, October 21st, 2022.

Prize:

The winner of the Likert Dissertation Paper Award will present the prize paper at ICOS on April 14th, 2023. The prize includes a $2,000 award and travel expenses to come to Ann Arbor.

We hope you will enter this exciting competition!
